Between September 8th at 11:10AM ET and Sept 15th at 2:10PM ET Rise 360 contained a bug that in certain specific scenarios could cause loss of block content. We understand that your courses and content are critical to your business and we are committed to the preservation of your data. After a detailed analysis, we are now sharing what happened, how we responded and the steps we’ve taken to improve our systems and processes going forward. ## Incident Details On September 8th at 11:10AM ET engineers shipped a change to Rise 360’s lesson navigation to improve the efficiency of the authoring experience by allowing authors to navigate directly between lessons. On September 15th at 08:04AM ET our support team alerted engineers of a small number of customers reporting blank lessons in their courses. Engineers immediately responded and identified the bug in the navigation code. At 02:10PM ET engineers shipped the last of a series of changes to fix the bug and prevent potential loss of block content. As a result of this incident, we have identified the following actions: * Improve our monitoring and deployment procedures to allow for more granular control over application versions in use by authors * Strengthen our services to ensure data preservation and improve our ability to recover from issues ## **Articulate’s Commitment to Excellence** Every day, you entrust Articulate with the crucial mission of training your customers, employees, and teams—a responsibility we take very seriously and value deeply.
