We are writing to provide an update regarding a temporary service disruption that affected Yoti services earlier today. Our Network Operations Centre \(NOC\) identified a degradation affecting our Digital ID, Identity Verification, and In-Branch Verification \(IBV\) services. A prompt investigation revealed the root cause to be a temporary fault within our network management systems. This issue resulted in a brief period of degraded performance for a number of our users. Our infrastructure team has since resolved the fault, and all services have been fully restored to normal operations. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disruption this incident may have caused. A comprehensive post-incident review is under way to identify system improvements and prevent future recurrences.

We are pleased to report that all services are currently returning to normal operational levels. Our technical teams have successfully identified and implemented a permanent fix; as a result, core functionality has been restored across our entire product suite. Whilst systems are stable, we are entering a period of extended monitoring. We will be closely tracking all products and user sessions to ensure that performance remains consistent under full load. We intend to officially mark this incident as Resolved once we are confident in the long-term stability of the environment. **Sunday 10th May 2026 - Tuesday 12th May** We are pleased to confirm that all Yoti services have returned to normal operation following a period of service instability. Starting on the evening of May 10th, our network was targeted by a highly orchestrated and large-scale distributed DDoS attack. This was a coordinated attempt to overwhelm our systems with high volumes of traffic, which resulted in intermittent outages and access issues across our platform. We would like to reassure you that this was a connectivity-based attack. At no point was the integrity of our core systems or your personal data compromised. To resolve the issue and protect against future attacks, we have: * Successfully migrated our network traffic to a global, industry-leading protection service \(Cloudflare\). * Implemented enhanced filtering to block malicious traffic before it reaches our services. * Increased our infrastructure capacity to better handle unexpected traffic spikes. We sincerely apologise for the disruption to your service and thank you for your patience while our teams worked around the clock to resolve this.

**Thursday 20th April 2026 from 15:45 UTC - 16:13 UTC** Earlier this evening, the Yoti Network Operations Centre \(NOC\) detected a surge in inbound traffic directed at our Digital Identity, Identity Verification, Age Verification, and Age Estimation services. Owing to this spike, customers would have experienced intermittent request timeouts and increased latency whilst attempting to access these services. Our monitoring systems flagged these performance degradations immediately, enabling our engineering teams to pivot to high-priority mitigation. To restore stability, the Infrastructure team executed a two-pronged response: * **Redundancy Deployment:** We successfully brought a secondary Data Centre \(DC\) online to load-balance traffic and ensure geographical redundancy. * **Anycast Activation**: We activated Anycast to distribute traffic globally across both Data Centres, ensuring that no single site bears the full load of the requests. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this outage has caused our customers.

A load balancer failure at one of our data centres caused service disruption. Our engineering team identified the issue, rerouted affected traffic to restore services, and subsequently brought the impacted load balancer back to full operation. To prevent recurrence, additional proactive alerting has been implemented to provide earlier warning of similar conditions
