We've recieved some reports of users being unable to login to the Virtru Control Center. Impacted users get stuck in a login loop and end up back on the login page even after successfully authenticating. The issue is only present when logging into the Control Center and is not impacting all users. If you are impacted, please clear your cache and try again. That has resolved the issue for some users. Our team is working to implement a fix. We will provide another update as soon as we have one.

Outlook and Hotmail users are unable to authenticate in Secure Reader and Secure Share. Google and O365 activation flows are working as expected. The issue appears to be isolated to Outlook related authentication flows in Secure Reader and Secure Share. Impacted users should attempt to authenticate via a different method, such as a one-time verification link or code.

Microsoft is experiencing an outage that is impacting Outlook OWA (and possibly Desktop). Users are reporting intermittent issues accessing OWA. The outage seems to also prevent all Add-ins (including Virtru) from loading. As a result of this upstream issue with Microsoft, users may be unable to access Virtru in Outlook. No other Virtru products are impacted at this time. We are closely monitoring the situation.

There was a large AWS outage earlier this morning. Most Virtru services remained active during the outage, but we did notice slightly higher error rates across some services, such as searching users in the Control Center. AWS has deployed patches and seems to be coming back online. We continue to closely monitor the situation. If you experienced issues with Virtru earlier today, please try again. We’ve received reports of some system-generated emails from Virtru.com not being delivered. Most traffic is going through successfully, but it appears Barracuda is rejecting some of these messages. We’ve reached out to Barracuda to get this resolved as quickly as possible. If you are a Barracuda customer, we also recommend opening a ticket with them: https://www.barracuda.com/support/contact This issue primarily impacts email activation/verification for client-side Virtru products (Gmail Extension, Secure Reader, Outlook Add-in & Control Center) as well as Secure Share emails. Starting around 10:10am ET today, we began noticing delays in updates between our back-end services and our Control Center and Secure Share. The delays include policies appearing in the My Data and Org Data pages, content appearing in the Secure Share History page, user updates in Control Center, and activity appearing in the Audit page. We have identified and remedied the source of the bottleneck. Events and policies are queued and will eventually appear. We will continue to provide updates here.

After monitoring over the weekend, all new data including Audit data, Policy data, User data and history data is flowing correctly. During the outage we have a large amount of data in a queue that we have to replay to get that data into your instance, which we are actively doing now. There was no data loss, but some data may be slow to show up in your instance from that period of time. Virtru's V1 Audit API was down from August 20 at 9:08 am EST until August 20 at 10:32 am EST. Any events that occurred during that time are not accessible via the V1 Audit API or the Audit Page of the Control Center. The root cause of the issue was a bug in a release. All audit events are still available via the Audit V2 framework. In addition, this incident does NOT impact data in the My Data and Org Data sections of the Control Center. The issue only impacts products leveraging the Audit V1 Framework (Audit API V1 & Audit Page). Don't hesitate to contact Virtru Customer Support (support.virtru.com) if you have any questions.
