    Our team is actively working with our payment processor to investigate failures to initialize payments when using Tap to Pay directly to a Samsung A14-17 device. This is not impacting tapping on any other payment devices such as AMS1 or S1F2.

    Our team worked with our payment processor Adyen to update the Adyen SDK to fix any tap to pay issues. Most device should update the GoTab app automatically but to be sure, navigate to the Play Store and also check for a GoTab app update to version 4.1.0 version 77, which resolves any outstanding tap to pay issues.

    We detected a spike in errors experienced by guests adding credits cards to their accounts during QR ordering. We investigated and found our payment gateway introduced an unknown change to data formatting returned from their API that caused errors within our integration. No payment data was lost during this time and we are in communication with our payment gateway to determine why the change occurred and establish improved lines of communication of changes to reduce these type of service interruptions.

    On 4/6/25, a number of customers reported experiencing intermittent slow login to the POS after PIN entry, followed by a prolonged loading screen. In some cases, a subset of customers also reported seeing a blank screen after logging into the POS. The issue was traced to latency in receiving responses from our Redis caching database. An investigation revealed a significant number of blocking calls that caused some requests to be paused while previous requests were being serviced. Our engineers increased resource allocation to the database as an immediate measure of relief and subsequently optimized the usage of Redis within our applications to reduce the number of calls and to also reduce the size of stored payloads. This optimization took place incrementally between 4/7/25 and 4/10/25, during which time we observed performance improvements on the order of several magnitudes.
