The issue mainly affected the Submittals item list workflows. Some requests timed out before the backend application could begin processing them, causing users to see failed or delayed page/API loads. **Impacted Services** * Forma Build Submittals. **Root Cause** * The incident was triggered by a production deployment The deployment introduced comments/mentions improvements that increased database activity in high-traffic Submittals APIs. The issue was resolved by manually rolling back the US region production deployment. **Autodesk Actions** Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following: * Fixing the root cause issue related to the comments DB improvement. The team fixed the specific place in code that caused the increase of item list API processing time including tests. * Fixing BIM360WF 504 alerting — validate alert configuration across regions/environments and setup DT 504 alert definitions from account scope to service. * Add a skill that after deployment it detects abnormal behavior of the service. * Establish stress and load testing for high-traffic APIs across QA, STG, and PROD. Customers using Autodesk Forma Build in the US region were impacted, which resulted in reports remaining in a “generating” state for an extended period before failing. **Impacted Services** * Autodesk Forma Build – Cost Management **Root Cause** * A recent update to cost report queries introduced additional filtering intended to improve performance but instead resulted in slower query execution for projects with large data volumes. This restored normal report generation performance. **Autodesk Actions** Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following: * Improve monitoring and alerting for report performance to detect similar issues more quickly and reduce time to resolution. * Enhance validation and performance testing of report query changes to prevent regressions impacting large or complex customer datasets. **AUTODESK EVENT ANALYSIS** **Incident Number:** #coe-inc139741-aec-data **Incident Date:** April 2, 2026 **Summary** On April 2, 2026, at 11:30 PM PDT until 4:00 AM PDT on April 3, 2026, Autodesk experienced service disruption that caused failures for some customers publishing Revit models to the Autodesk Platform Services \(APS\) AEC Data Model API. The issue affected Revit model publishing and related data retrieval/query workflows, with impact observed across supported regions, primarily in the United States. **Impacted Services** * APS AEC Data Model API * Revit model publishing to AECDM **Root Cause** * During a production configuration change, a required service resource was unintentionally removed. This disrupted normal processing for some Revit model publishing requests. * The service then had to process requests using a less efficient recovery path, which caused some requests to exceed system limits. **Autodesk Actions** Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following: * Improve monitoring and service visibility so similar issues can be detected and investigated more quickly. * Strengthen review and validation processes for production changes. * Improve safeguards around changes to critical production resources to reduce the risk of unintended downstream impact. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
