    This is a large-area outage on the Comcast network. Engineers arrived on site at 2:00 p.m. and are troubleshooting to resolve it. The underlying carrier has confirmed a fiber cut at 2505 Marietta Blvd in Atlanta, GA. The damage was caused by a third-party boring machine. At this time, fiber repair teams are actively on site assessing the situation and beginning restoration efforts.

The cause of the outage was a fiber event/break that caused a sync issue with our service/quadflex cards. This propagated throughout the Southeast ring and the Interconnects. Fiber repairs are still ongoing between Savannah - Qwest (QSAV) and Savannah State University (SAV).
