Resolved after 30 minutes, affecting Travel, on January 20, 2026.
Impact as Reported: In the EU2 Data Center, users were unable to complete travel bookings for air, car, rail and hotel in the new Concur Travel experience via the SAP Concur website and mobile app. Affected users may have seen the following error message: “Sorry, something went wrong” when attempting to perform a travel search. Root cause: A defect introduced by a code change on the travel booking service resulted in some calls entering a loop and causing a back end components to suffer resource exhaustion, consequently preventing users from being able to complete reservations until the resource exhaustion triggered a service refresh restoring service. The code change was rolled back to remove the defect. Corrective Actions: The following corrective and preventative actions have been identified: circuit breakers are being introduced to the backend service to protect it from excessive resource consumption by individual calls; the back end service is being segmented to further mitigate potential failures; the backend logging is being reviewed and revised to increase its accuracy and enable faster issue troubleshooting.

A system outage caused a delay in posting incident communications. The issue has since been resolved, and communications for incidents that occurred during the outage are now being published. New Concur Travel customers were unable to successfully perform travel searches for 30 minutes. Our internal monitoring tools detected a 100% drop in travel bookings during the time of impact. Further investigation confirmed the drop in successful bookings was caused by an error, "Sorry something went wrong" when clicking the Search button after completing desired search parameters. Unfortunately, there was no workaround for this issue during the incident. As the Incident Response Team (IRT) was being assembled, the service self recovered. We have verified that service performance is stable and will now resolve this incident. A continued investigation into the root cause of this incident will be conducted, and a root cause analysis report provided when that investigation is complete.
