Impact as Reported: In the Concur Cloud for Public Sector Data Center, users may have encountered a “502 Bad Gateway” error landing page when accessing the domain. Root Cause: During a routine automated upgrade of container infrastructure hosts within the Concur Cloud for Public Sector data center, a disruption occurred in the environment supporting authentication services. As a result, a subset of users may have briefly encountered a "502 Bad Gateway" error when attempting to access the service. The disruption was temporary, and service recovered automatically before any manual intervention by the incident response team was required. The impact was limited to users attempting to access the service during the affected period. A comprehensive review of system logs, telemetry, infrastructure health data, and service behavior was conducted following the incident. While the timing of the event coincided with the infrastructure upgrade activity, the investigation did not identify a definitive underlying cause or a reproducible failure mechanism. Corrective Actions: Future iterations of this infrastructure maintenance activity will be performed during dedicated off-hours maintenance windows to minimize potential customer impact. Additional debugging, instrumentation, and telemetry collection will be enabled during future maintenance activities to provide greater visibility into system behavior and facilitate faster root cause identification, and they will be conducted under the supervision of designated subject matter experts to provide real-time monitoring, expedite troubleshooting, and support rapid response should unexpected behavior occur.
