Resolved after 27 minutes, affecting Travel, on September 3, 2026.
Impact as Reported: We identified and promptly resolved a functional disruption impacting New Concur Travel hotel searches in the APJ1 Data Center. This issue affected all New Concur Travel hotel search attempts during a 27 minute period. After completing the hotel search parameters, and clicking the "Search Hotels" button, an error "There has been a technical issue. Please reload the page and try again" was presented. As a result, hotel search results were not returned, preventing the ability to complete hotel bookings. Root cause: A recent software update introduced a dependency on additional user profile data to support new business logic within the hotel search process. Although the required configuration changes had been developed and approved, they had not yet been deployed to the affected environment when the application update was released. As a result, authorization requests for the newly required profile information were denied because the necessary access configuration was not available. These authorization failures caused the hotel search workflow to fail and prevented successful completion of the search process. The root cause was a gap in the release management process: there was no formal mechanism to coordinate, validate, and confirm deployment readiness for interdependent changes across teams and system components prior to release. Corrective Actions: Implement deployment validation and dependency tracking controls within the release process to identify prerequisite changes and verify they are deployed before dependent functionality is released.

We identified and promptly resolved a functional disruption impacting New Concur Travel hotel searches in the APJ1 Data Center. This issue affected all New Concur Travel hotel search attempts during a 27 minute period. After completing the hotel search parameters, and clicking the "Seach Hotels" button, an error "There has been a technical issue. Please reload the page and try again" was presented. As a result, hotel search results were not returned, preventing the ability to complete hotel bookings. Workaround: Unfortunatley there was no way for you to workaround the issue during the time of impact. The Incident Response Team (IRT) mitigated the issue by reverting a recent change, which successfully restored service. We have verified that service performance is stable and will now resolve this incident. An investigation into the root cause of this incident will now be conducted, and a root cause analysis report provided when that investigation is complete.
