Update timeline

  1. investigating Apr 20, 2026, 08:19 PM UTC

We are aware of, and investigating, a potential issue causing intermittent declines on some Canadian transactions. We continue to research and will provide additional updates as they become available.

  2. identified Apr 21, 2026, 01:13 PM UTC

Good morning - we have identified an issue with a 3rd party provider that may be preventing new card verification on Visa cards. Previously verified cards should still be accepted and processed correctly. We continue to work with our 3rd party to provide a resolution.

  3. identified Apr 22, 2026, 04:19 PM UTC

UPDATE: REPAY is planning to implementing an update to our routing rules configuration that will always approve the card validation transaction ($0 authorization) immediately for all Canadian merchants. This temporarily update will allow Merchants to continue with the transaction, without the need to make changes in their environment to disable card verification. Please contact REPAY support if you want this workaround disabled. Once the processor has resolved the issue, we will disable this work around for all. This update does NOT apply to any US based merchant.

  4. monitoring Apr 24, 2026, 05:30 PM UTC

We have worked with our 3rd party provider to resolve the issue, but will continue to monitor through the weekend. Thank you, once again, for your continued patience.
