Affected: Merchant Store FrontsControl Panel
Timeline · 3 updates
  1. identified Apr 16, 2026, 04:07 AM UTC

We are currently investigating an issue affecting some stores using the Australia Post Public API for shipping rate calculations. Affected merchants may experience no shipping options displaying at checkout, which can prevent customers from completing orders. We are working actively with Australia Post to resolve it as a priority. Workarounds While we continue working towards a resolution, merchants can use the following temporary options to restore checkout functionality: If you are using eParcel: Switch your shipping rate calculator from the Australia Post Public API to the eParcel rate calculator. If you are not using eParcel: Set up a backup flat rate in your Australia Post shipping table and configure it as a fallback. This allows customers to continue checking out if live rates are unavailable. If you need assistance applying these workarounds, please contact our support team and we’ll be happy to guide you through the setup. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available

  2. identified Apr 16, 2026, 04:52 AM UTC

We have identified a likely cause of the issue affecting Australia Post shipping rates for some stores. Our team is currently working on a hotfix to update the integration to Australia Post’s updated API service. This is expected to restore functionality for affected stores.

  3. resolved Apr 21, 2026, 12:41 AM UTC

The issue affecting Australia Post freight calculations has now been resolved. We appreciate your patience while we worked to restore normal service.

**Summary:** A temporary service disruption impacted storefront and cPanel availability. During this period’s, some requests could not be served, resulting in degraded platform performance. **Root Cause:** A configuration change within storefront template logic introduced inefficient processing behaviour, which caused excessive CPU and memory consumption. This led to elevated load on the caching layer and prevented the platform from serving incoming requests during the incident window. **Resolution:** The affected configuration was identified and reverted, which reduced system load and restored normal service shortly after.

Early findings show that some application instances became unhealthy, which placed increased pressure on the caching layer and prevented new connections from being established. The issue has been mitigated, and services are currently stable. Our engineering team is continuing a deeper investigation to identify the root cause, including reviewing application logs and system behavior. This is not yet the final summary, and further analysis is ongoing

  5. postmortem Mar 27, 2026, 03:28 AM UTC

During March 2026, we experienced three intermittent service incidents caused by non-legitimate automated traffic targeting storefronts. These events occurred on **3 March**, **9 March**, and **17 to 18 March 2026**, and resulted in temporary slowness, intermittent availability issues, and in some cases **“We will be back shortly”** messages. The underlying cause was evolving bot traffic patterns that were not fully addressed by the existing protection controls in place at the time. We implemented a series of mitigation changes across the incidents, including refined bot protection, stronger request limiting, and additional filtering for suspicious traffic. Since these changes were applied, we have continued to improve our protections and monitoring to reduce the risk of recurrence and strengthen platform reliability.
