GFI FaxMaker customers using etherFAX for fax delivery are currently experiencing a service outage. Affected customers may see their etherFAX account reported as offline in FaxMaker, receive account validation failures, or be unable to send/receive faxes. This issue is caused by an ongoing outage on etherFAX's side. Following their core services migration to AWS, etherFAX is experiencing degraded performance on their U.S. and Canada REST API services. etherFAX has an active incident open on their status page (https://status.etherfax.net/) and their engineering team is actively working on a fix. No action is required from GFI FaxMaker customers at this time. We are monitoring etherFAX's status page and will post an update once they confirm resolution.
- monitoring · Apr 06, 2026, 11:59 PM UTC
etherFAX has reported that fixes have now been rolled out for interim fax status updates and for the “latest connected on” timestamps. This means some customers may begin to see improvement in status reporting within GFI FaxMaker. However, the incident is not yet fully resolved, as etherFAX still shows degraded performance affecting its U.S. and Canada API/REST services and their engineering team continues working on the remaining issues. We will continue monitoring etherFAX’s fix behavior.
- monitoring · Apr 07, 2026, 04:03 AM UTC
All ongoing maintenance and improvements have been successfully implemented, and the platform is currently stable with normal performance across all services. The etherFAX team will continue to closely monitor system metrics and performance throughout tomorrow. If you experience any issues, please reach out via a support ticket
