RM Technology experienced a minor incident on June 25, 2025 affecting SafetyNet Plus and SafetyNet Plus Transparent Module, lasting 77d. The incident has been resolved; the full update timeline is below.

Google is making a mandatory change that affects all Chrome and Edge extensions – moving from Manifest V2 to Manifest V3. In simple terms, this means the way extensions are built is changing, and we’re updating SafetyNet Go to match. If the extension isn’t updated, your SafetyNet Go filtering will stop working. The new CHROME extension will be available from Monday 30th June. You need to upgrade to this extension before the 26th July, otherwise your extension will stop working. The new EDGE extension is now available. This extension auto-updates so you will now see the V3 version of the extension in use on your devices. If you cannot see the extension updated, please reboot the devices and this will ensure the update happens.

We have identified an issue where browsing history is not being shown in reports. There was an issue with a delay in logs showing in the Browsing Reports which prevented these from being shown. A fix has been deployed to show all data from the 26th-28th June and a fix is being deployed shortly to ensure all data from the 29th onwards shows. There is no action required by customers.

We are aware of page loading issues when using the V3 extension for SafetyNetGo using Chrome version 103. We are continuing to investigate this issue.
