Some users with a specific Windows update may experience a windows explorer crash

   We have had a report of a Windows explorer crash due to interaction with a specific component of the PreVeil installation. The crash arises due to an interaction between PreVeil’s PVShellExt.dll and a Windows update (see, https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2020/05/27/how-to-get-the-windows-10-may-2020-update/ ) Impact/Symptom: For some PreVeil users with the above Windows update, Windows explorer crashes. Workaround: Rename file C:\PreVeil\findersync\PVShellExt.dll to C:\PreVeil\findersync\PVShellExt.dll.saved and then restart the computer. (NOTE: For this rename operation to succeed, one may need to have “admin” access on the computer). Long term fix: Our engineers are working on a Preveil software patch that will fix this issue and we will provide an update as soon as the patch is available.    In a few instances, when one of the PreVeil (version 3.4.0) components was not working, Windows explorer was crashing. While this was an occurrence that was only reported by one user, it was identified as a defect that required a software fix. A PreVeil software fix (version 3.4.1) has been released on 9/10/2020 which will fix this windows explorer crash.
