  1. investigating Nov 26, 2025, 01:58 PM UTC

To help reduce system load and prevent unexpected changes to client websites during the Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday high-traffic period, we have temporarily disabled the Visual Comparison tool on our Managed WordPress and Managed WooCommerce plans. This will temporarily disable the feature that safely manages upgrades for WordPress core, plugins, and themes on your site. We continue to proactively monitor for vulnerabilities related to WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, as well as any other urgent update requirements. If no immediate updates are needed, Visual Comparison will be re-enabled on Tuesday, December 9th. Our support team is here if you need assistance or have any questions. You can reach us through: Live Chat via the Customer Portal: https://my.nexcess.net/ Email: [email protected] We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the best possible service during this busy season. Thank you for your continued support. Internal System Maintenance Reference: [CC-13001]

  2. investigating Dec 10, 2025, 04:25 PM UTC

We have re-enabled WordPress automatic plugin upgrades via Visual Comparison. The automatic WordPress core upgrades are temporarily on hold to ensure that any potential site breakages due to plugin conflicts with the latest WordPress version (6.9) are avoided. This step ensures that automatic plugin upgrades are fully aligned with the latest WordPress version before we resume automatic core upgrades. We will update the status page once the WordPress core upgrades are re-enabled. In the meantime, please feel free to contact support if you encounter any issues with your website related to automated plugin upgrades.

  3. resolved Dec 16, 2025, 09:17 PM UTC

We’ve now re-enabled automatic WordPress core upgrades, and upgrades should proceed as expected on our Managed WordPress and Managed WooCommerce plans. As shared previously, Visual Comparison was temporarily disabled during the Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday high-traffic period to reduce system load and prevent unexpected changes. With that period complete, WordPress core and plugin upgrades are now fully restored. If you encounter any issues following a core update, our support team is available to assist. You can reach us through: Live Chat via the Customer Portal: https://my.nexcess.net/ Email: [email protected] We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the best possible service during this busy season.
