- investigating Aug 21, 2025, 04:44 PM UTC
Network Nebraska Engineers have gotten multiple reports of latency and slow speeds starting after 10am CT today. We have not isolated the cause or the impacted schools; we are investigating.
- identified Aug 21, 2025, 05:05 PM UTC
We isolated the cause as discards on the backbone connection between Grand Island and Norfolk. Only schools/sites directly connected to the Norfolk router would have been impacted. We shut down the backbone connection at Grand Island and that looks to have resolved the issue. We are engaging the underlying carrier to have them investigate. The carrier replaced a piece of equipment, however that has not resolved the issue. They are continuing to troubleshoot.
