Summary: Potential issue with Google Maps Platform Maps SDK on Android Description: While our engineering team continues to investigate the issue, it appears that the symptoms are correct but the number of affected clients should be very limited due to fall-back mechanisms already in place. Mostly expect applications that have not been opened for at least several days (or longer) to experience delays opening or loading a map. A refinement of affected scope: While signals indicate Android is the most affected, there is a small increase in the signals for iOS as well as Navigation SDK (iOS and Android). We will provide an update by Sunday, 2026-02-08 04:15 PST with current details. We apologize to all who are affected by the disruption.
