Is Entri down?

Status: Identified Asynchronous DNS setup in Entri Sell is working intermittently for domains hosted at IONOS, due to failures on the IONOS side. Only IONOS domains are affected; setups for all other providers are working normally. We have identified the issue and are in contact with IONOS to get it resolved. Status: Identified Due to instability in the IONOS purchase flow, we have rolled back the IONOS Entri Sell purchase flow from version 2 to version 1 as a precaution. Customers will see the previous version of the flow while we investigate. Asynchronous DNS setup for IONOS domains remains intermittently affected due to failures on the IONOS side. Status: Identified Due to ongoing issues on the IONOS side, we have temporarily migrated all IONOS Entri Sell customers to GoDaddy. Domain searches and purchases for these customers are now being processed through GoDaddy and are working normally. Once the IONOS issues are resolved, we will return these customers to their normal settings and post another update. Status: Resolved The issue on the IONOS side has been resolved. All IONOS Entri Sell customers have been returned to their normal registrar settings, and domain searches and purchases are once again being processed through IONOS. Status: Identified Between 12:06 and 12:40 UTC on October 4, our primary database experienced an unplanned host failure and was automatically recovered by AWS. During this window, some domain registrations submitted to the monitoring service were not processed and are not currently being tracked. Webhook delivery continued throughout, though some webhooks were delayed by up to a few minutes and webhook logs in the dashboard have a gap for this period. Status: Resolved On October 4, our primary database experienced an unplanned host failure between 12:06 and 12:40 UTC and was automatically recovered. A small number of domain registrations submitted to the monitoring service during that window were not processed; all of them have been re-registered and are being monitored normally. Delivery of Domain status monitoring webhooks was delayed for part of the day while queued events were released progressively. No events were lost. Delivery is back to normal. Status: Identified IONOS is currently experiencing an outage on their side, which affects domain purchases through IONOS in Entri Sell. You can follow their status at https://www.ionos-status.com/. In the meantime, we are redirecting all IONOS traffic to GoDaddy so that domain purchases continue to work without interruption. No action is needed on your end. We are keeping a close eye on IONOS and will switch traffic back once their service is stable again. We will post another update here as soon as that happens. Affected components Ionos (Full outage)

Status: Resolved This incident has been resolved. GoDaddy domain purchases through Entri Sell are working normally again, and all systems are fully operational. Status: Identified We're seeing intermittent DNS resolution failures for domains under the .shop extension. The issue is at the .shop registry level (GMO Registry): since around 16:18 UTC, the registry's nameservers have been returning "domain does not exist" for .shop domains, so resolvers can't reach the domain's own DNS provider. This is not caused by Entri, and the DNS records configured through Entri remain in place at each domain's DNS provider. Nothing has been deleted or changed. What you might notice while this lasts: • .shop domains, and custom domains that point to a .shop hostname via CNAME, may fail to load or show as not propagated. • Domain connection and verification flows for .shop domains may stall or report records as missing. • Entri Monitor may flag .shop domains as unreachable or report their records as missing, and you may receive alerts for them. These alerts reflect the registry issue, not a real change to your users' DNS configuration. • Other extensions (.com, .io, etc.) are not affected. There's no action needed on your side or your users' side. Please don't ask users to re-enter or change their DNS records, since the records are correct and will resolve again once the registry is fixed. Registrars have escalated the issue to the registry, and we're monitoring it closely. We'll post an update as soon as we know more. Affected components Domain detection (Degraded performance)

Status: Monitoring The .shop registry's nameservers are responding normally again and .shop domains are resolving. Some resolvers may still have the failed answer cached, so a few users could see errors for a little longer. We'll keep monitoring and re-run propagation checks for any .shop domains that were affected. Affected components Domain detection (Operational)

Status: Resolved .shop resolution has been stable since [HH:MM] UTC. The incident was caused by an issue at the .shop registry (GMO Registry), which returned "domain does not exist" responses for .shop domains between roughly 16:18 UTC and [HH:MM] UTC. No DNS records managed through Entri were changed or lost. Any Entri Monitor alerts for .shop domains during this window can be safely ignored, and affected domains will return to a healthy status on the next check.
