Resolved after 51 minutes, affecting Website Editor and Receiving e-mail (IMAP) and 1 more, on November 6, 2026.
During this incident, many requests failed with error pages. The cause was network maintenance at our hosting provider, which disrupted connectivity between our servers and took one of our database servers out of service. Our systems kept sending traffic to that server, and every request routed to it failed. No data was lost. We are changing our setup so that traffic stops automatically when a database server goes out of service, and we are improving our monitoring to catch problems like this sooner. We apologize for the disruption.
