RIPE Network Coordination Centre incident

RIS pipeline issue — not publishing update/bview files

Resolved after 1 day 6 hours, affecting RIS (Routing Information Service), on September 7, 2026.

resolved Sep 08, 2026, 02:01 PM UTC

RIS updates and bviews for RRC24 have been published. On startup, the pipeline step processing the Kafka partition handled an unusually large volume of records, which caused a timeout. This is unlikely to be related to the RRC18 issue from over the weekend, and we don't expect other RRCs to be affected

  1. monitoring Sep 07, 2026, 07:33 AM UTC

Sep 7, 09:33 CEST Investigating - The RIS pipeline has stopped publishing update and bview files for RRC24 hosted at LACNIC, Uruguay. This mirrors the issue that affected RRC18 over the weekend. We suspect a common root cause, but it has not yet been identified. We cannot rule out other RRCs experiencing the same issue in the coming hours or days.
