    Jun 8 , 09:00 CEST Identified - Over the weekend of 6-7 June we started experiencing an issue where software probes that disconnected for any reason were not allowed to connect again. Over time this caused a gradual decrease in the number of connected probes, up to 20% of software proves or about 10% of the total probe population. The identified the root cause to be a delay of processing of internal control messages. We executed ad-hoc measures that allowed most probes to temporarily connect again, and we are currently working on a proper solution.

    Jun 5 , 16:18 CEST Investigating - The certificate authority we use changed the intermediate certificate of the certificates we use on our email MX servers, which we missed. This led to the TLSA records for our email MX servers to be incorrect. The TLSA records have been updated today around 16:00 Amsterdam time, but people verifying these may experience issues for the TTL duration of the records, which is 86400 seconds after the update in the worst case scenario.

    May 30 , 09:02 CEST Identified - We have identified a misconfiguration in the pipeline that publishes RIS bview files to data.ris.ripe.net, and are giving early notice. As part of an infrastructure change on 27 May 2026, the publishing pipeline re-copied historical bview files produced after February 2022. This had two effects: * File modification timestamps changed for historical bview files published after February 2022. * Some bview files produced between 1 March 2026 and 21 May 2026 may be incomplete. This affects copies of files downloaded after 26 May 2026. For the incomplete files, the likely impact is that data from some RIS peers may be missing from the affected bviews. The data has not been lost. We have multiple copies available and expect to fully recover the affected files after the weekend.

We have evaluated the expected increase and do not anticipate any significant impact. Recent work to parallelise backend queries should help hide most of this additional latency. We expect a gap of up to 30 minutes in RIS Live data.
