  1. monitoring Sep 02, 2026, 08:16 PM UTC

We are aware of an ongoing Cogent Communications network outage related to multiple fiber cuts in the Los Angeles area. This issue is external to Jump Desktop, but some customers whose internet traffic is routed through affected Cogent infrastructure may experience connectivity issues. Remote computers may temporarily appear offline, or users may be unable to establish new connections. If you are experiencing these symptoms, we recommend contacting your ISP to determine whether they are affected by the Cogent outage or switch to another ISP incase you have a backup. Cogent network status: https://ecogent.cogentco.com/network-status As a temporary workaround, customers with VPN infrastructure can use Cloudless Fluid over their VPN to connect directly to their remote computers: https://support.jumpdesktop.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052860651-Cloudless-Fluid We will continue to monitor the situation.

Timeline: Start: Dec 29th, ~12AM EST Resolution: Dec 29th, ~4AM EST What Happened: During the incident, Jump Desktop for macOS and iOS started rejecting our cloud provider's (Amazon) security certificate. We have confirmed that the certificate was valid. We have replaced the Amazon certificate with a temporary one to restore functionality while we investigate. Impact: • Newly launched macOS and iOS clients were unable to connect to the cloud. • Existing macOS and iOS instances that were connected were unaffected. • Windows clients were unaffected. Next Steps: macOS and iOS share the same code to validate certificates. We're investigating why it started rejecting Amazon's certificate.
