  3. monitoring Dec 18, 2025, 01:01 PM UTC

Summary: We have identified the root cause of the ongoing service instability in one of our European data centers. The disruption was triggered by a dual-impact event: an unexpected, sustained, high-volume influx of traffic followed by a localized hardware failure. Action Taken: - Traffic Wave Mitigation: To maintain service availability, we have rerouted the traffic through a specialized network filter set. This allows us to filter out unexpected traffic before it reaches our infrastructure. - Hardware Restoration: On-site technicians and our remote team are working to troubleshoot/replace the faulty equipment to restore firewall stability. - Service Recovery: Most core services are now back online. We are currently addressing the issues related to networking connection slowdowns caused by a large queue of production traffic pending processing. Next Steps: Our engineering team is still fine-tuning networking settings and filters to ensure stability for all application-level traffic.
