Our team has identified a root cause for this issue, and have now commenced a rollback of the problematic change and verifying that this is resolved. There should not be any impact to currently installed apps as a result of this incident. We experienced a disruption affecting all JSM assets APIs using Connect JWT and user impersonation for connect apps, starting on September 13th at 2:05 AM UTC and lasting until September 17th at 3:36 PM UTC. This issue was caused by an internal routing change within Atlassian systems. During this time, all Assets API calls using Connect authentications were disrupted. We have identified an issue where some Forge apps are receiving permission errors when calling REST endpoints that require admin permissions. We are investigating the root cause.

We have identified the cause of an issue affecting a small number of Forge app installations between July 10, 2025, and July 18, 2025, at 03:38 UTC. This issue meant that the app user was not granted the correct admin permissions during installation, resulting in failing calls to REST APIs that require the permission. This issue will not impact new installations, and we are working on a fix for previously impacted installations.
