  6. postmortem Feb 10, 2026, 10:56 PM UTC

**Tuesday 10th February 2025 from 20:22 UTC - 21:47 UTC** Earlier this evening, the Yoti Network Operations Centre \(NOC\) detected an surge in inbound traffic directed at our Identity Verification, Age Verification, and Age Estimation services. Owing to this spike, customers would have experienced intermittent request timeouts and increased latency whilst attempting to access these services. Our monitoring systems flagged these performance degradations immediately, enabling our engineering teams to pivot to high-priority mitigation. To restore stability, the Infrastructure team executed a two-pronged response: * **Vertical & Horizontal Scaling:** We dynamically increased compute resources for the affected service clusters to manage the heightened load. * **Redundancy Deployment:** We successfully brought a secondary Data Centre \(DC\) online to load-balance traffic and ensure geographical redundancy. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this disruption has caused to your operations.
