Intermittent 503 Errors on PCMILER Web Services (SOAP)

Between November 1, 2026 at 21:08 UTC and November 2, 2026 at 14:21 UTC, customers may have experienced intermittent HTTP 503 (Service Unavailable) errors when making SOAP API calls to pcmiler.alk.com, impacting approximately 10% of requests. Our engineering team isolated the issue to an unhealthy host within the backend server pool. The degraded instance was removed from service rotation at 14:21 UTC, fully restoring normal operations and error-free traffic flow. A permanent platform fix will be deployed later this week to improve automated failover and health detection.
