   Hi Finland will soon require all Sender IDs to be registered. From 4 May 2026, any unregistered senders will be replaced with "Tuntematon" (which means "unknown" in Finnish). All Sender IDs must be registered no later than 26 March 2026. After that date, there will be a freeze period for the approval of new Sender IDs until the regulation comes into effect on 4 May 2026. In November, unregistered senders will instead be overwritten with "Roskaposti" (which means "spam" in Finnish). Sender IDs can be registered at www.teletopiasms.no -> Gateway -> Sender / URL, where a form must be completed. If a large number for Sender IDs need to be registered, it is also possible to submit the required information in an Excel file which we can import. In that case, the deadline is 25 March 2026. The reason for the short deadline: The operators are building a centralized database for this, but they have become aware that they will not be able to have this done in time before the regulation comes into effect. The operators will perform a one-time large bulk-operation to import senders to comply with the law. When the database is ready, they hope to be able to collect new Sender IDs in a more effective manner.
