Production Incident - On Demand Migration for Email
Quest experienced a minor incident on October 12, 2022 affecting US Region, lasting 6d. The incident has been resolved; the full update timeline is below.

Some customers are still experiencing the issue where a 500 Internal Server Error appears in the task events. From our internal testing, migration of mailbox content is continuing as expected and we are continuing to investigate. We will provide an update as new details are available.

The issue has now resulted in impacting mail migrations and mail tasks may fail immediately. Previously, mail migrations were able to start and continue without disruption but now, tasks may fail from the start and no mail data migrated. We have narrowed down the issue and have engaged with our cloud service provider. We are working with them to investigate the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing and will report back soon.

Our Cloud Service Provider provided a workaround that appears to have resolved the issue and our internal teams were able to validate migrations are running successfully. We will continue to monitor the situation and report back when we receive new information. Please reach out to the Quest support team if you still experience any issues with the migration.

While the workaround has mitigated this issue, we are working with our Cloud Service Provider on a permanent resolution. We will continue to monitor the situation and will report back when we receive new details.

Quest will deploy the workaround as a permanent solution after a discussion with our cloud service provider with the regular maintenance on 10/18/2022 at 4:00 PM UTC. On Demand Migration will be available for use while we update the product, and there will be no impact on existing migrations. The cloud service provider is still investigating the root cause of the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience the outage of our email migration platform has caused.
