Lightfoot experienced a minor incident on October 13, 2022 affecting Fleet Management Portal (my.lightfoot.co.uk) and Fleet Management API (data.lightfoot.co.uk) and 1 more component, lasting 13h 52m. The incident has been resolved; the full update timeline is below.

We are currently experiencing a drop in traffic from in-cab Lightfoot devices to our servers. This means that some tracking information displayed on the Fleet Management Portal may be delayed. Lightfoot devices will retain their data and transmit this to our servers as soon as possible and no data will be lost. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The issue has been identified as a cellular network outage, the network provider's urgent investigation is ongoing. Multiple IoT systems are known to be affected.

The network provider's engineers are continuing to work hard to resolve this issue. They have confirmed that the issue is affecting numerous services in a number of countries.

We are seeing traffic from devices flowing in again. There may still be a delay in real-time vehicle/driver positions on the Fleet Management portal while the Lightfoot servers work to clear the backlog of incoming data.
