  7. postmortem Feb 03, 2026, 09:30 AM UTC

**Incident Summary:** On January 22nd, 2026, clients hosted in UK PRD SL1, SL2, and SL3 experienced an issue affecting Global Search and Reporting services. **Impact:** During the incident window, users were unable to use Global Search or search for any reports within the platform. Search results were unavailable, which limited access to reporting and related functionality. **Root Cause Analysis \(RCA\):** The incident was caused by an underlying infrastructure issue within the search platform managed by our cloud service vendor. This infrastructure-level issue impacted the availability of search services, resulting in search failures. **Resolution:** Cornerstone engineering teams promptly investigated the issue and worked in coordination with the cloud service vendor to restore the affected search components. Services were recovered using recent system backups, after which, Global Search and Report search functionality returned to normal operation. **Preventive Measures:** To help prevent similar issues in the future, Cornerstone is taking the following steps: * Enhancing monitoring and alerting to detect search service degradation earlier * Reviewing and refining recovery procedures to enable faster restoration
