TFS4JIRA Azure DevOps integration - Degraded performance for synchronizing items
Resolved after 23 hours 46 minutes, affecting TFS4JIRA Cloud Synchronizer, on June 19, 2023.
We noticed there's no more timeouts from Azure DevOps side since 5:50 CEST time 20th June. We've reset synchronization interval to 1 minute. No delays are expected. We are actively monitoring production. In the meantime we are trying to get information what caused the timeouts on Azure DevOps side.

Synchronization issues started happening on June 18th, ~2:00 PM CEST. There are random timeouts from Azure DevOps Services. We're trying to minimize the impact of the issue. It was impossible to start the new initial synchronizations. Process should now be unlocked and you should be able to start initial synchronization. If you still encounter a problem, please contact our support team. Periodic synchronizations are now happening once per 5 minutes (instead of usual once per 1 minute).

The issue with ADO timeouts was reported to Microsoft, but there is no update on it currently. We have mitigated the issue by fine-tuning our synchronization queues so they are less sensitive to the timeouts, but that has a negative side effect - regular synchronizations are now triggered less frequently, once per 5 minutes. We are adding additional logging to understand if there are any patterns on the timeouts we see from Azure DevOps.
