Our engineering team found out the issue and it's now solved, production working again normally.

Between 4.00pm EEST and 7.30pm EEST, creation of new employees and data cards failed. The root cause was identified to be in the backend service of the system, which had a limitation, and prevented the operation to complete. The situation was fixed on-the-fly by removing the limitation, which fixed the situation. Removing the limitation, allows system to work normally, but a proper software change will be done to ensure we are not going to hit the same limitation in the future.
