   Morningstar Data Feeds, Data Services, and Fund API Center have specific clients reporting being unable to access Morningstar's FTP/SFTP (ftp.morningstar.com) and receiving error messages when attempting to connect.    We previously notified you Morningstar Data Feeds, Data Services, and Fund API Center had specific clients reporting being unable to access Morningstar's FTP/SFTP (ftp.morningstar.com) and receiving error messages when attempting to connect. Due to a connection issue yesterday, Dec. 9, with our primary FTP site, our Infrastructure team migrated to our disaster recovery (DR) site as we worked to resolve the issue entirely. In our review of the client's reporting issues today, we found that they stem from missing firewall rules associated with the FTP DR site. To resolve these issues, clients should have the below established: - Ports opened towards our DR site IP 216.228.224.25 aligned with the protocol used to connect to FTP. - Clients should always use ftp.morningstar.com while connecting and not connect to the IPs, provided their firewall is open to both IPs.
