    We are aware that some genuine customers are being incorrectly redirected to our fraud page and are actively investigating the issue. We apologise for the inconvenience and will post an update shortly.

    Our security systems have successfully identified and blocked a number of logins that were part of a large-scale credential stuffing attempt. This is a common tactic where malicious actors use usernames and passwords stolen from other websites and attempt to use them to log in to FreeAgent accounts. However, this has unfortunately led to a small number of legitimate users being temporarily blocked. We're really sorry if this has impacted you. If you are redirected to our fraud page, please wait 20 minutes before attempting to log in again. When you do, please double-check that you're entering your username and password correctly. We would like to assure you that FreeAgent has not been breached and we continue to protect accounts whilst monitoring any further attempts.

    On the 30th June Mettle had an issue with duplicate transactions appearing for some customers. This issue is now resolved, but as a result some FreeAgent users are seeing the duplicates from Mettle pull through into their account. We are aware of this and are working with Mettle to determine the best course of action to resolve this for FreeAgent users. Thanks for your patience as we look into this.

    We have noticed some issues with email delivery, we are investigating and have raised this with our email provider to identify and resolve the issue. We will provide an update when we have any further information.

    We have had confirmation from our email provider that this issue has been resolved. Between approximately June 30, 2025 at 9:47pm BST to July 1, 2025 at 1:21pm BST, an IP was listed for spam causing some customers emails to not be sent. If you sent emails within this timeframe, you should check the delivery status of your emails within the FreeAgent app. If they show as 'Bounced' within the Invoice Email History at the bottom of the invoice, please resend to your customers. Emails sent after this timeframe should be unaffected. We're really sorry for any confusion or concern this may have caused you or your customers/clients.
