Update timeline

  1. monitoring Nov 29, 2024, 03:07 PM UTC

We are monitoring a mail service disruption caused by an ongoing strike at Canada Post. This disruption is impacting various carriers that offer delivery services in Canada. As a result, mail and package deliveries in Canada may experience delays until the strike is resolved. Additionally, some carriers may not allow shipment creation at this time. EasyPost is closely observing the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

  2. resolved Dec 17, 2024, 03:13 PM UTC

Canada Post is scheduled to resume operations on December 17, 2024. We have removed the block on generating USPS labels to Canada through our platform. However, due to the 32 days of the strike, there is a significant backlog of parcels waiting for delivery. Canada Post is estimating that it may take up to two weeks to clear the backlog. https://globalnews.ca/news/10919918/canada-post-strike-return-work-order/
