At 1:26 AM EDT, we experienced a complete outage of one of our internet carriers Cogent Communications. The outage lasted for 3 minutes and 5 seconds and did not have an effect on our hosted voice or data center clients. Since we have two other BGP connections this did not impact any services. Our engineers are investigating the root cause of the outage and do not feel this was caused by attacks on our network. This may have been a Cogent outage upstream with either the Washington DC or Atlanta area.
