  1. investigating Jan 20, 2023, 02:21 PM UTC

The Barracuda RMM Support Team is aware of issues with partners using Remote Control. Partners have reported that the Meta4ClickOnce extension is failing to work within their environments and requesting installation. After some investigation, we found an update to the Meta4ClickOnce extension on late January 19th, 2023, that has caused issues with existing installs of this extension. We have an existing KB troubleshooting the Meta4ClickOnce issues (found here: https://campus.barracuda.com/product/ISBKB/doc/93200666/application-cannot-be-started-error-when-launching-remote-control/), and the support team recommends uninstalling the extension as well as clearing extension cache, then installing it again. An alternative to the ClickOnce extension is the Windows Remix ClickOnce Helper for Chromium (Chrome, Edge, Brave), found here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/windows-remix-clickonce-h/dgpgholdldjjbcmpeckiephjigdpikan/related.
