  4. postmortem Sep 21, 2026, 06:01 PM UTC

On September 10, 2026, at 16:56 UTC, customers in our us7: Cloud - US region may have experienced delays when attempting to load new workspaces. Existing active workspace sessions were unaffected. **Root cause** A recent configuration update to our internal workspace resource allocation service reduced the response time limit for requests to the backend infrastructure. Under certain conditions, transient infrastructure delays within the region exceeded this limit, causing the service to restart repeatedly. This stopped the system from establishing new workspace connections and delayed model loading. **Recovery** Our engineering team identified the issue and took immediate action. We implemented an emergency configuration change to disable the response time limit, allowing the workspace resource allocation service to stabilize. Once applied, the system successfully processed the backlog of connection requests, and service was restored to normal. By 18:02 UTC, the issue was fully resolved. **Corrective and preventative actions** We are implementing the following actions to prevent recurrence: * We are reviewing and adjusting the response limits for our workspace resource allocation service to establish a safer, more resilient configuration that accommodates transient infrastructure delays. * We are enhancing our synthetic monitoring test scope coverage for the connection and loading processes of new workspaces to improve early detection of workspace allocation issues. We apologize for the impact this issue may have had on your business operations. We are continuously strengthening our systems and procedures to avoid disruptions to your business and users. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our [Support](https://support.anaplan.com/) team.
