On December 16, 2020, beginning at 6:45 AM, Welkin’s customer's began experiencing API connection issues. This impacted some of our components that used API in our Coach Portal & Workshop. This could have impacted custom code which used the API such as Web hooks. The root cause of the outage was introduced by a defect into our system via our weekly release. The service incident was initially resolved by the Welkin Engineering Team on December 16th at 7:45 AM US/Pacific Time, approximately 1 hour after the incident began. To resolve the issue, Welkin Engineering team rolled back the weekly release. Welkin plans to review the release process and make appropriate changes to prevent or minimize this occurrence in future.
