    Swank Cloud Platform is moving the Cloud License server from our legacy Widevine proxy to a new Widevine SDK-based service in compliance with Google-driven changes to Widevine. The migration happens in two stages so partners can test before production is switched. Playback behavior for viewers is not expected to change. Applies to: Any integration that requests Widevine licenses from the Swank Cloud License server ( https://wvlsmod.swankmp.net ) Testing available: Now, at https://wvlssdk.swankmp.net/ Production cutover: January 12, 2027 (target) Migration timeline Stage Date What happens Stage One: Testing Available now https://wvlssdk.swankmp.net/ is live with the new SDK for partner testing. https://wvlsmod.swankmp.net continues to use the legacy proxy on Production Stage Two: Production cutover January 12, 2027 (target) https://wvlsmod.swankmp.net will remain the Production endpoint pointed to the new SDK service. The domain name you use today does not change. What is changing New license service. Widevine licenses will be issued by the new SDK-based service instead of the legacy proxy. New service certificate. The SDK service uses its own Widevine service certificate, separate from the one used by the legacy proxy. Players will receive this new certificate from the service.
