Good Morning, Computer services is aware of an issue with user accounts asking for a second multifactor requirement after using Duo. Some accounts are being prompted to enter phone numbers for SMS passcodes to access different applications. We are working with our vendor support teams to try and resolve this issue.

Dear Colleagues, Computer Services continues to work closely with our vendors to resolve the multifactor authentication (MFA) issue currently affecting access to district services. We have identified that Microsoft is not recognizing Duo as a valid authentication provider and is instead enforcing its own MFA requirements. This change appears to be related to Microsoft's Mandatory Multifactor Authentication Phase 2 rollout, which began earlier this month. More details on this rollout can be found in Microsoft’s official announcement: 🔗 https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-mandatory-multifactor-authentication-phase-2-starting-in-october-2025/ We understand the inconvenience this may cause and are actively working toward a solution. Our team is in ongoing communication with Microsoft and Duo to determine the best path forward. We will continue to provide updates as we make progress toward resolving this issue. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
