Update timeline
- investigating Apr 28, 2022, 02:24 PM UTC
We are currently investigating reports of degraded audio quality and/or complete loss of audio during phone calls, affecting a portion of our customer base. We are working to identify the root cause and will provide updates as soon as possible.
- identified Apr 28, 2022, 02:44 PM UTC
We have isolated the root cause to an upstream Internet Service Provider that services our east coast data center. We have engaged their engineering team and they are working towards a resolution. To mitigate the issue, we have diverted all call traffic from the affected location to a redundant data center.
- identified Apr 28, 2022, 03:35 PM UTC
The majority of traffic has successfully transitioned to our redundant data center and we are seeing improvement. We are still in communication with the affected data center's engineering team and will provide updates as soon as we receive them.
- monitoring Apr 28, 2022, 03:53 PM UTC
We have confirmed that our east coast data center has located and resolved the issue on their end. We will continue to utilize our redundant data center for the time being while we verify the stability of the resolution.
- resolved Apr 28, 2022, 04:30 PM UTC
We have verified the stability of the resolution implemented by the data center's engineering team, and we are no longer observing issues related to call quality and/or loss of audio. At this time we have directed traffic back to our east coast data center and we have returned to normal operational status.
