Update timeline

  1. resolved Oct 18, 2026, 09:42 AM UTC

Between 09:42 and 10:45 UTC on 18 October, customers in several regions experienced failed or undelivered multi-factor authentication requests and intermittent connectivity errors in the Silverfort desktop application. Users in these regions may have been unable to complete authentication and access protected resources during this window. Impact was most severe in the US and Australia. The cause was a service update that did not behave as expected under production load. We rolled back the update and confirmed full service restoration at 10:45 UTC. A full root cause analysis will be published within seven business days. Authentication security was not affected. All impacted requests failed closed: no access was granted without successful verification. No customer action is required. If you continue to see authentication failures, contact Silverfort Support. We are reviewing our deployment and monitoring processes to prevent a recurrence.
