  1. investigating Jul 25, 2023, 04:45 PM UTC

Due to recent Java updates introducing a new system property, jdk.jar.maxSignatureFileSize, our Mend.io Unified Agent's signature now exceeds the default size limit, causing execution failures for all versions of the Unified Agent. Affected Java versions: 20.0.2 17.0.8 11.0.20 8u381 Our team is actively working on a more permanent solution. Meanwhile, please consider one of these temporary solutions: - Use a version of Java released prior to the ones listed above. - Override the default size limit with this command: java -Djdk.jar.maxSignatureFileSize=9000000 -jar unified-agent.jar We will continue providing updates regularly. Sincerely Mend Technical Support

Update: We have released a hotfix to address the problem reported yesterday, which was causing execution failures for all versions of the Unified Agent. Please refer to our release notes page (https://docs.mend.io/bundle/sca_user_guide/page/mend_server_release_notes.html) for details and a link to download the updated version of the agent. The new updated version is no longer affected by the changes introduced in the latest versions of Java. Once you start using the new version, there is no need to apply either of the workarounds that were recommended in our prior communication. Sincerely, Mend Technical Support
