Impact: Devices failed to launch across the platform, blocking device access and testing for all customers. Root cause: Two backend device-session instances went offline unexpectedly, which stopped new device sessions from launching. Underlying cause still under investigation. Resolution: Engineering brought additional direct-hub instances online to handle incoming sessions and restore service (~2:40 PM ET). Multiple devices on KOB-PROD were spot-checked and confirmed launching normally, including manual sessions (~2:45 PM ET).
