  6. postmortem Nov 22, 2025, 12:30 AM UTC

**Incident Summary:** On October 2nd, 2025, customers hosted in the US and UK Production environments experienced delays while using the Edge Import feature. The issue resulted in longer queue times and slower data imports for affected users. **Root Cause:** The incident was caused by a surge in customer data feed volume, which led to increased resource utilization within the systems supporting the Edge Import feature. The elevated load impacted processing efficiency and resulted in extended queue times. **Corrective Action:** The Engineering team performed a cluster reset to stabilize system performance and clear processing backlogs. Following this intervention, normal operations were restored and the Edge Import feature resumed standard performance levels. Additionally, the planned server infrastructure upgrade—which was part of long-term scaling efforts—was completed later that weekend on October 5th, further strengthening the system’s ability to handle higher data loads. **Preventive Measures:** To mitigate similar issues in the future, Cornerstone is implementing the following measures: * Capacity Planning: Enhance system scalability by upgrading server resources and optimizing cluster configurations to support higher data ingestion volumes. * Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and implement automated scaling policies to prevent resource saturation.
