**Total duration of related service interruptions:** Approximately 11 minutes **Summary** On December 16, Circle experienced a short period of degraded performance and partial unavailability. The issue was caused by an unintended increase in background processing following a recent backend change, which briefly increased system load and impacted platform responsiveness. **Impact** During the incident window, some users may have experienced slow page loads, timeouts, or temporary difficulty accessing certain areas of the platform. No customer data was lost or corrupted. **Resolution** Our engineering team quickly identified the source of the increased load, removed the underlying cause, and stabilized the system.
