Forge Invocation Outage
Timeline · 3 updates
- investigating Jan 28, 2026, 05:32 PM UTC
At approximately 16:20 UTC on January 28, 2026, we identified widespread failures of Forge invocations impacting all Capable Forge-based apps. It is believed to affect all Forge apps across the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem. The Forge invocation layer appears to be failing due to authentication system errors, rendering apps unable to load or execute backend functions. These failures are visible to users as blank app/macro panels or error messages within Confluence pages. Other vendors have confirmed similar symptoms, suggesting this is a platform-wide Atlassian Forge outage rather than an app-specific issue.

Atlassian have provided a public incident tracker.
- resolved Jan 28, 2026, 07:08 PM UTC
The issue has been resolved, and services are now operating normally for all affected customers. We'll continue to monitor closely to confirm stability.

Confluence Byline Entries Not Visible (Capable for Confluence)
Timeline · 4 updates
- investigating Nov 13, 2025, 10:32 AM UTC
Capable byline entries are not displaying on Confluence pages, which prevents users from accessing app features via the page header. This issue affects only the "Capable for Confluence" app and is limited to UI visibility - it does not impact the app's core functionality. We believe this stems from a broader Atlassian Forge platform issue affecting byline rendering across multiple apps, particularly when using Display Conditions that rely on App Properties - functionality Capable employs to let administrators hide specific capabilities.
- investigating Nov 13, 2025, 10:32 AM UTC
We have escalated the issue to Atlassian. We will provide updates as soon as we have them.
- identified Nov 13, 2025, 12:39 PM UTC
Atlassian has confirmed the issue stems from a recent change in their codebase, impacting Forge app byline rendering. They are now escalating this as a priority incident to their engineering team for a swift resolution. In parallel, the Capable team is deploying a targeted patch to the Capable for Confluence app. This workaround will restore byline functionality on our end, bypassing the Atlassian-side disruption. Expect the patch rollout within the next hour, followed by verification.
- resolved Nov 13, 2025, 02:01 PM UTC
We have pushed a temporary workaround to restore page byline entries in Capable for Confluence. We will restore the global hiding feature once Atlassian have resolved the underlying issue.
AWS Outage Affecting Upstream Services
Timeline · 1 update
- resolved Oct 20, 2025, 09:47 AM UTC
AWS experienced a major outage in the us-east-1 region, which impacted several third-party services including Jira, Confluence (Atlassian) and Monday.com. As a result, Capable Apps that rely on these platforms and their APIs were temporarily unable to function as expected. ✅ Important note: → Our systems and infrastructure remained fully operational. → The disruption was caused by the external AWS outage affecting upstream services - not by an issue within Capable. 🛠 Current State: → Services are gradually being restored by AWS and Atlassian. → Our applications are recovering as connectivity to Jira, Confluence, and Monday.com returns. → We will continue to monitor closely until full functionality is confirmed. → Thank you for your patience and understanding during this global incident. Further updates will be provided as needed.
