Over the past couple of days, we have received several reports of CSC Smart Checks failing. This is due to the pre-configured internet target intermittently responding to ICMP pings. The SmartCheck WAN check works by requesting the managed CPE ping a specified host. It is a host outside Calix control. As a result, we will be updating the ping target tonight to a host that is reliably responding.
