  5. postmortem Sep 25, 2025, 04:15 PM UTC

On September 21, 2025, at 05:56 UTC, our internal monitoring systems detected a potential issue with platform access. As a result of this issue, some users may have experienced delays when attempting to log in. This issue affected users attempting to access any Anaplan region from a network based in the U.S. Our investigation identified that the login page was configured to wait for all components to load, including a non-essential announcements panel. We found that a third-party element within the announcements panel was experiencing a service disruption and was failing to load promptly. This prevented the login process from completing until the connection timed out and temporarily blocked access for affected users. The instability with the external component subsided, and our monitoring confirmed that full service was restored for all users at 07:06 UTC. While this issue originated with our vendor, our priority is protecting our platform from these events, regardless of their origin. To prevent future occurrences of this issue, we’re modifying our login page to ensure that the core login function is completely independent of the announcements panel. This will ensure that login functionality remains operational even if this non-essential component is unresponsive. We apologize for any impact this issue may have had on your business operations. We are continuously strengthening our systems and procedures to ensure we avoid future disruptions to your business and users. If you have further questions or concerns, please visit the [Anaplan Support](https://support.anaplan.com/) website. Thank you for your patience during this situation and thank you for being an Anaplan customer.
